Conferences are at the heart of our Fellowship and always a highlight - a conference where you can genuinely 'confer', where deep theology and deep fellowship go hand in hand.
The next conference is at The Hayes, Swanwick on Monday 23rd - Wednesday 25th January 2017.
Our Conference theme is Eschatology - looking in more depth at our future hope. Paul Gardner will be plumbing the depths of reformed eschatology in the main sessions and with additional Bible Readings from the gospels, looking at Jesus’ teaching on the end times. In the seminar sessions we will take some time to explore eschatological perspectives on life and ministry.
Eschatology is not a common topic of conversation amongst evangelicals. Yet when we give a reason for the hope we have in Jesus, we must be able to articulate that hope, and describe it faithfully and confidently. And when we find ourselves in difficult times, like Paul, we need to understand the weight of glory to see it as a light affliction. Eschatology gives perspective; perspective on the future, and the present, and indeed the past. about the future has become more pronounced in recent times. Not least in the Church of England. So it serves us well to be reminded that the future is in God’s hands and that the future is secure for his people. In fact, that hope is the foundation for all we do in our lives here and now.
